Business Development Representative

About the Role:

PubMatic is growing its Business Development team, and we’re looking for an ambitious, curious, and driven individual to join us as a Business Development Representative (BDR). This is an exciting opportunity to get in on the ground floor of a newly built function that plays a critical role in the growth of our business. You'll focus on identifying, engaging, and qualifying new sales opportunities with brands, advertisers, and independent ad agencies. 

This role is perfect for someone looking to break into the ad tech industry, develop foundational sales skills, and grow within a high-performing, supportive team. 

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone, LinkedIn, etc., to generate interest in PubMatic’s products. 
  • Research and identify potential customers within the digital advertising ecosystem. 
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads and schedule meetings for Account Executives. 
  • Work closely with Account Executives, Marketing, and Product teams to support go-to-market campaigns. 
  • Collaborate with the team to refine messaging and tailor outreach to different audiences. 
  • Manage activity and pipeline in CRM, ensuring accurate data and documentation. 
  • Meet and exceed weekly/monthly activity and lead qualification targets. 
  • Stay up-to-date with PubMatic’s offerings and key trends in the programmatic advertising industry. 

Who You Are:

  • 1 plus year or equivalent work/internship experience in an outbound sales, account management or client service role. 
  • A strong interest in sales, digital media, and the ad tech industry. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Willingness to learn, take feedback, and grow within a fast-paced, digital-first team. 
  • Comfort working in CRM systems

Compensation Disclosure

In accordance with applicable law, the below salary range provided is PubMatic’s reasonable estimate of the total compensation for this role. New hires and current team members are typically compensated toward the middle of our pay range. The actual amount may vary, based on non-discriminatory factors such as location, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities. In addition to salary PubMatic also offers a bonus, restricted stock units, and a competitive benefits package.

$90,000$110,000 USD
